Character. Responsibility. Commitment.

At CRC, our employees are our most valuable asset. We take pride in being a responsible employer, dedicated to treating every employee with respect and dignity and providing a safe, healthy, and high-quality work environment. Our Commitment
to our Workforce

The primary factor in our success is CRC’s multicultural workforce. We recognize that a motivated, well-trained, and diverse workforce is a strong competitive advantage, and we expect our employees to communicate and work effectively with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.

CRC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We provide equal opportunity in every aspect of employment without regard to race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, legally protected medical condition, marital status, sex, gender identity, age over 40, veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law. CRC's Equal Opportunity statement is reissued annually to reaffirm our commitment. Our recruiting, training and career development programs are designed to help all employees realize their full potential.

CRC has a diverse workforce of exceptional talent. This diversity enriches our employees' experience on the job and contributes to an effective business model that helps local communities to thrive.

Our Commitment
to our Local Communities

CRC's core values of Character, Responsibility and Commitment direct how we conduct our business, contribute to our communities, support local economies, protect the environment, and interact daily with our stakeholders. Our work practices in every location are designed to increase the prosperity and quality of life for local residents. We seek to hire from the communities where we operate, and actively encourage our suppliers and vendors to do so.

Our Commitment
to Safety

At CRC, we have an unwavering commitment to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.

We maintain stringent health, safety and environmental policies at every work site. All CRC employees and contractors are required to follow these policies and take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and their co-workers, including the right, without repercussions, to stop any job or task that they perceive may be unsafe. We also expect and require employees, contractors and visitors to immediately report accidents as well as unsafe practices and conditions.

CRC consistently ranks among the safest companies in the United States with a better safety performance than many non-industrial sectors. In recognition of the exemplary safety performance of our workforce, CRC and our regional operations received 24 National Safety Achievement Awards in 2022 with respect to our 2021 performance. In addition, CRC's 2022 Injury and Illness Incidence Rate (IIR) – the number of recordable injuries and illnesses of employees and contractors per 100 workers – was 0.62. For comparison, this rate surpasses the rest of the oil and natural gas industry as well as most other sectors including finance, insurance and real estate – as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor.

Compensation and Benefits

At California Resources Corporation (CRC), our compensation and benefits programs are designed to attract and retain the industry’s top talent and to reward superior performance. Our programs also support our commitment to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.

Health and Wellness

CRC employees can participate in comprehensive medical, vision and dental coverage for themselves and eligible dependents. Additionally, we offer hearing discount programs, as well as Health and Flexible Savings Accounts to help you pay for eligible expenses before taxes.

Good health is both a personal and company priority. We offer excellent resources through the CRC Wellness Program and Employee Assistance Program that help employees and their families maintain healthy lifestyles and support their mental and emotional well-being.

The CRC Wellness Program is a free health-improvement and wellness program available to all CRC employees. Program benefits include reimbursement for health club and other fitness memberships.

The Employee Assistance Program offers free services to support employees and their families, and retirees. Services include assessment, counseling, treatment, referrals and crisis intervention.

Financial Security

To help our employees plan for the future, CRC provides employees with a 401(k) savings plan that includes company paid retirement and matching contributions. Planning for the unexpected is also important so CRC offers both Disability and Life/accident insurance plans for our employees and their eligible dependents, as well as low-cost legal services plans.

Work/Life Balance

At CRC, maintaining a healthy balance between work and everyday life is a vital factor in encouraging top performance and retaining talented employees. Many work sites offer 9/80 (every-other Friday off) or flexible schedules and other programs to address CRC’s diverse workforce needs.

Transparency in Coverage

The federal Transparency in Coverage Rules passed by the U.S. Departments of Treasury, Labor and Health and Human Services require certain group health plans to publicly disclose in two separate machine-readable files (MRFs) information regarding i) in-network provider rates and ii) historical out-of-network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services. The MRFs for the CRC Medical Plan and CRC Retiree Medical Plan can be accessed at:
